Status Updates From American Girls

Seven pages in and I've already laughed twice. This is gonna be good.

I'm going to adore this.

i know i'm reading this SO SLOWLY. but its one of my favorite books this year, seriously. i literally laugh at least once on every page

there's nothing actually happening so far?? and i'm okay with it?? *shrugs*

this book is so different & refreshing?? i think i'm in love??

You can't drive to the Hollywood sign. I hate it when great books make stupid mistakes. Heck you can't even drive to the observatory any more, though you could thirty years ago.

The only part I don't like is finding another book as good as this one when I am done.

I don't know how I feel about this. It's pretty middle of the road so far - waiting for something big to happen.

It is that good. And I came from L.A.

These characters are super terrible. Not in the writing or characterization (because it's really good), but in the "oh god these characters are really terrible human beings that make me want to shake them by the shoulders."

I'm not sure where this is going but I'm enjoying it so far. Anna's inner monologue is great :)

I love the sister relationship in this!

This. Is. So. Good.

The middle is kind of slow/not as engaging as I'd like it to be. Anna has a good voice, though.

So this is the second YA book *in a row* I've read where The Great Gatsby becomes a plot point. More specifically, where Nick's sexuality is questioned. How...weird is that.
