It’s all about the people that lives around vishnu. The way his conditions affects the people is mesmerising at the same time a bit thought provoking. It makes me think that what impact will I have on the people around me if I’m in a similar situation like vishnu.

So far I am trying to keep an open mind about it. I’m in the middle of figuring out which genres I am into. So far I am the husbands in building made a truce to call an ambulance for Vinshu. So far the families treat their hired staff horrible and never consider that they had lives before working with them.

“Fortunate are those who recognize my presence. Blessed are those who acknowledge me, worship me. Tell them down there to recognize me for who I am. I can wait only so long. Before it is too late, too late for all. For I have come to save and destroy the universe.”

Guys I opened the book today and gasped because I hadn't realized I was already three-fourths of the way through. I am shook. I haven't got this immersed in a book since 9th grade, love this for me, y'all. XD

“rigors of sobriety.”
“He wished someone would invent an umbrella that would ward off the rays of misfortune he could feel raining down upon him on such days. His baldness made him feel extra-vulnerable —he could not even count on a layer of hair to protect him.”

Wow. Wildly written visions. Drama, interpersonal conflict. Young love and lust. What a tale.

I’ll admit I’ve struggled to get really into this one, since the plot has been slow going. But it’s picking up now—has been since at least the halfway point, really—and I’m feeling really invested in all the characters. I will miss them when I finish.

Fun read so far, and the dynamics between the ladies and their attitude towards Vishnu is authentically Indian, hilarious and yet so sad.

I was kind of under the impression that this would be a kind of apocalyptic SF story, but by no means! It's about Vishnu, the sort of errand guy who sleeps on the landing in an apartment building. He's dying, and as he lies there, we get to know the residents floor by floor. Vishnu sort of ascends through the levels, but that's not too clear yet.

Interesting beginning. Very misleading title. Nothing related to Gods or mythology. Current scenario depicts the inner minds of super pretentious kitty party ladies! Jealous neighborhood fights.

The story was entertaining at some points but most of it was like a huge gossip. Most of the characters lacked personality and the end was quite plain, can't say I hated it, but I didn't enjoy it much.
