I have been to the Kibera slums so I found this book especially interesting. That poor part of the world needs more Kennedys and Jessicas. This is a well written book and I can vouch for the honesty in the descriptions of the poverty, crime and filth of that slum area. We rescued one young family by hiring the father to be the driver for our mobile dental clinic in Kilimambogo, Kenya. God bless Jess and Kennedy.

This book explores the unlikely partnership between Kennedy Odede and Jessica Posner. It explores the concepts of race, privilege, and class. Jess comes from a privileged, sheltered life whereas Ken comes from a life of instability and destitution.

I think I'm gonna like this book, even if it is nonfiction.

I absolutely love this book because it shows that not everyone is born into a good life. People are not always lucky to have a home and food. People are not always going to have a friendly neighborhood where the neighbors are welcoming. This book is very inspiring.

I like this book because it reminds me of how I should not take food, water, and shelter for granted. It makes me want to go to Kenya and "Kiberia" to help. Kennedy Odede is amazing and so is Jessica. I love it so far! I can't wait to read more.
