(1) Gods shifting between multiple personalities is a very Rick Riordan idea.
- Here, Eris is the more conservative (less impetuous) side of Strife, which Nyx unleashes to get curb Strife's wild ways. The problem being that Eris also more ambitious and conniving.
(2) As coldly realpolitik as Eris is about weakened dictatorships inspiring democracies, she's not wrong.
