Won this book a while back (like two years ago) and just relocated it on my Kindle. Always enjoy a good "end of the world as we know it" tale.

I'm rather enjoying this dystopian story.. I love books that being with a bang, not a dirty bang, but launches right into it. It's getting gritty now.

So Ash has been close-mouthed in the sharing of pertinent information AND he's been mistrustful of everyone, including his family and his lover, YET some randoms waltz on by and suddenly he's all chatty Cathy!?! WTF!?

What about Canada? Surely they were affected to some level as well. Also, why try to get past border patrol through the Rockies? Why not head to Washington State via Canada? Seems to me it would be less dangerous.

OK, they're evacuating people out of their homes and relocating them to refugee camps. But there's no mention of the pets. Where are all the doggies and kitties? And the birds and ferrets and gerbils too? Who's taking care of them?
