The fall narrative surrounding Thulcandra has taken shape. I’m pleasantly surprised by the Sorns. The theme of Oyarsa ruling planets and all replying to Maleldil is fascinating. I also love the theme Lewis employs where Ransom is explaining evil in his world like it’s totally normal and the creatures on Malcandra always have a response akin to “why would they do that?” It highlights the extent of the fall.

Ransom is in the horizontal when he first meets the hross!
Ch. 10 After finishing his meal and drink, the hross shows him how to flip into the boat. It sounds like a swimmers flip turn. It’s an upside down way to get onboard. The hross expects Ransom to do the same but he steps in. He’s wondering which species is dominant. Are sorns like an intelligent cow or are the horse their pets? It’s such a bent way to think.
