Status Updates From Girls Just Wanna Have Sun

Morgan's "yes day" was over, but that didn't change her answer. This was the easiest decision of the day, one of the easiest answers of her life.

"Yes," she murmured against Juliette's lips. "I say yes."

"The scars felt like an ugly reminder of a terrible day, and the tattoo felt like a way to change the narrative. I went with ivy because that's what it does, right? It creeps over surfaces, hiding whatever's underneath, covering it with something new."

"I'm not very outdoorsy, as you probably noticed."

Juliette smiled, still not opening her eyes. "I noticed. It's a shame, too, all the photo opportunities you're missing out on. You are a photographer, right?"

She was pushing herself out of her comfort zone, all right. Her comfort zone was on the other side of the lake in the safety of the rental house, not here on this little island with Juliette and Roux.

Panicking in the water was never good, but panicking while wearing a tether carried a risk of getting tangled, and the water here wasn't very clear, which would make it harder to locate Morgan if she went under.

"If the water's clear enough, you can see fish or even the lake bed beneath you."

That might have interested Juliette, but it sounded terrible to Morgan. When she was in the water, she absolutely did not want to know what was below her.

"Now let me show you the different strokes."

Morgan resisted the urge to make another "that's what she said" joke, but seriously, why did everything Juliette say sound dirty all of a sudden?

"Don't do this if you aren't willing to get wet."

"That's what she said," Morgan fired back, surprising even herself.
