The external conflict is the act of this friends not being so friendly and the whole popularity thing consuming him. He can't change either one but he can decide what path to take.

The big internal conflict was Sherman
is the decision to become a famous competitive eater and loose his best friends or have a normal life with his friends. The big reason for this is his relationship with his friend, every time he become more popular with the school and his community his friends seem to just drift away.

Mad Max is friends will Sherman and he feels he should be respected more.
He feels this way because no one takes him seriously just because he was the class clown in middle school, but not in High School.
He's want to go to a good college and no one takes him literally.

I think that Sherman will be the person to change in my book "Bigmouth. Sherman thinks that he will become famous by becoming a competitive eater with a cool catch phase. "Are you Thurff Enuff." Sherman will realize that being famous isn't so easy and fun. I think that he will stop competitive eating.

Also the worlds used in the book to give a light and humorous tone are everywhere like Smiling and big nostrils, or football teams name The plum Tomatoes.

This is a very light hearted and humorous tone in the way that everything is going good for Sherman and the humor of him believing that he'll magically become famous for competitive eating.

This book is taking me longer to read than I expected I'm losing my interest in this book, sadly it is becoming repetitive, dull, and very slow moving. Even though it has an interesting plot it is hard to keep up with what is currently happening, too much happens at once. There are ways they could have improved the book, for example: they could do one thing at a time don't tell us a lot of information all at once

I find this book has a interesting view of competitive eating in the eyes of a middle schooler. Though it takes a long time to read because the pace of the story is slow. The book is exaggerates everything that can go wrong at a school, for example rebellions, bullies, and fights with friends. Though this isn't my favorite book I find it pretty good.
