Funny book about a runner. Each chapter is a mile in the New York Marathon with flashbacks to training. It is Shulman's first marathon and serious running endeavor. Like Shulman, I run slow, and often, sometimes in pain, usually sweaty. I find his various awkward memories loud laugh funny. So do my kids. Unlike Shulman, a marathon is not in my immediate future. A great read! My runner friends would enjoy too.
