All right, we’re getting close to the last 100 pages so let’s see how this goes

Ooooooo HERE THE F WE GOOO. Finally some 🌶️

This is not a romantasy. This is fantasy with a subplot of romance. Which is very different for me. But I’m still so impressed with this.

I’m super impressed so far. The writing style is much better than most first time authors. The magic system is unique but she’s doing a great job of slowly building it and telling us the story. The world building is also really good so far. In depth but not too complicated. If anything, it’s a little too slow. We’ve got a slow burn romance forming as well.

One thing about me - if someone showed up at my door and said I had magic and a secret world waiting for me… SEE YOU BYEEEEEEE 🤣 it drives me nuts when we have to convince a FMC to take on a new life that is INFINITELY better than the old one. Because I would not even think twice ✌🏼

I know this is an ARC, and formatting can change to the final copy. However we switch POVs in the middle of chapters and that always drives me NUTS. I much prefer a chapter for each POV

I LOVE the she gave us a codex at the beginning to help explain the magic system before jumping right into it.

Cover of the book grabbed my attention immediately, as did the dark beginning scene!

Oh this will be good. That prologue had me locked in. 👌🏼

That prologue... What a way to start a book! Only 14% in so far, but it's fast paced without sacrificing quality. I'm so intrigued!
