We took many walks on the beach that year, both of us on our own path to convalescence. Our friendship naturally deepened from sharing this awakening of our own vulnerabilities and morality.I’d like to think that the waves that lapped at our feet carried our anxieties far out to be buried in the deepest depths of the sea.
