Why im crying over this

We got to the bookshop and I fell asleep. :)

I think I reread some of the pages more than twice. I FEEL SO DISCONNECTED FROM THE PROSE. What is this?? What is happening?

I can't tell if it's the translation, or the actual writing, but everything is going over my head. I feel like this is such wasted potential. The narrator talks about grief and I feel nothing. The sentences are running like they're in a race. And everything's all over the place.
