re-read before Eldritch

This started out pretty good - the world reminded me of a misogynistic Sleepy Hollow. It’s definitely not a romantasy in the traditional sense, since the FMC and MMC don’t even meet until about 35% of the way through, but at around 65%, the book really starts to suffer from lack of editing. While the characters were intriguing at first, they sort of flatline around the middle of the book.
