I'm actually considering DNFing this! It's not terrible, but it's also not enjoyable. All this homophobia is a total bummer for one. And Collin and Tanner are supposed to be in love and stable by this point! I'm sick of listening to Collin rehash the same bullshit martyr insecurities! Fucking grow a set!!!

It's very odd for me to say that a book has too much sex. But this has too much sex. When we're on book 3 with the same couple I expect not to read a BJ scene every other chapter and a more in depth (and better) plot.

JFC colleges are typically pretty liberal, and they for sure have non-discrimination policies. They would be SO worried about bad press the effen Dean would be down there himself scraping the spray paint off! And I find it hard to believe that the first 3 young people that find out are all varying degrees of skeeved out. How could you be friends with someone for 2 years and NOT know they're a giant homophobe?!?!

Is that even a THING in this day and age? The supreme court made marriage equality legal, so it doesn't seem like she would have any grounds. It'd be like sueing for custody because your exes new GF is a different race. That don't fly. And I knew as soon as she left HE should have filed for full custody. Bleh.

Ugh this is why I often avoid books with religious family members. I know drama in necessary (and good to some extent) in a book, but I just can't take the ignorance.

I'm trying to be understanding... but they were out all summer, and Collin's family already knows, so it's hard for me to understand why he still wants to be in the closet and it's getting annoying.
