I strive to be a girls’ girl at all points in time but Aphrodite what is you doing???? Taking all these side quests and “love” errands isn’t actually facing the real problem.

Hephaestus is a raggedy loser, and tbh I’m team Ares in this fight. I don’t think Aphrodite can reasonably call herself the goddess of love when she’s willing to let the one god she’s ever loved go to keep “the peace”

I really like the theme of meddling here and the way Aphrodite is grappling with consequences of the behavior of the gods and her own fairly innocent decision making.

This is humanizing a goddess I normally write off as shallow and one dimensional. Can always count on Jennifer Saint for a fresh take

I love how Aphrodite is written as the goddess of love yes but also the goddess of sensuality. Everything described about her is through the fluttering of a heart of the smell of incense or the taste of ripened fruit. It’s super immersive and gives depth to an goddess I feel I may have overlooked as shallow before
