something about this book is so addictive

The incredibly slow pace, coupled with the plotline not becoming even remotely interesting until about the 40% mark, has made this tough to continue reading. I've almost given up several times. Selina and Parker feel like caricatures of themselves more than actual people.

People have such a strong aversion to disruption, even when what they’re going through is actually so much worse than change.
