In the novel, Ganry, Artas, and Hendon, have just been rescued by Princess Myriam and Linz. "'You're rescuing us?' asked Ganry in disbelief. 'We're supposed to be protecting you!'" (181) This quote is important because it shows that there is never only one character in a book that is strong, and it shows that even the main character (Ganry) isn't completely invulnerable.
