I have officially fallen in love! The allegory and social commentaries about Spanish colonialism and the hypocrisy of the friars are so riveting. I love Salome and I strongly identify with her personal plight of claiming back her power. Isagani is sweet. That scene with the newborn baby made me shiver. I need more of this fantastic comics!

I am so enthralled that I forgot to update here. Anyway, this second volume has a better quality of print paper than the first one so the colors and the illustrations themselves stand out more. I'm so close to the end and I badly need that third volume soon.

I don't remember Quiroga from Noli. Must google.
