This is probably my most highlighted book yet. This quote made me have to run to the bathroom at work to cry for a bit because of how seen it made me feel. “I’m weary, I admit. So over everything. I should be grateful to be alive. I am. But I’m tired of being grateful for scraps, like all that’s expected of me now is to be happy I’m not dead.”

was just scrolling and came across this and OMGG I’m actually so happy with this representation!!!! Especially IIH like damn! My ma has this and there’s literally not a lot of research in this area BUT it’s so sweet to see characters more like me/ family&friends. I don’t care if a romance helps spread disability awareness:)

I’m already crying at work cuz I’m jealous of fiction characters that have doctors that actually listen to them and they have concrete things to manage their chronic illnesses. My internalized ableism could never open up enough to get help y’all 😭💀
