"Jake, hand me the dog. JAKE THE DOG" Jake abandons the dog. Takes Emma away. Then "Oh, no, I made a mistake!" ASSHOLE THAT WAS NOT A MISTAKE THAT WAS YOU LEAVING THE DOG TO DIE YOU ARE THE WORST PLEASE DIE. I don't know if I can finish this book, Jake is the worst character of all time.

I don't think I'm supposed to despise Jake. But I want him dead. Also I'm not sure why he kept driving while trying to fight off a zombie inside the car? I COULD go with "guy got nervous", but he's all "I'm logical and I was in the army", so?

Is Emma Shana? Because Shana is a nurse and has a dog named Daphne and is super hot and has the perfect sexy husband. I feel Shana is projecting into this character and I hate this character. I really want to like this. Where is the second half where everyone claims it becomes more interestig? Cause I dislike our lead more by the page.
