I should know the history well enough by now to know what the battles are but ngl I’m pretty lost

on my knees begging and pleading for bagoas to be in this book but idk how far into alexanders life we will get

there seems to be a good amount of typos in my copy which is really annoying bc its hard to tell sometimes what she meant to do and what got messed up

i love when we get a little side character pov for a few pages, like with demosthenes

A little more challenging than the sequel (Persian Boy) and a very odd start, but I'm really enjoying this. As usual, Renault does an excellent job at emphasizing the strangeness of the Hellenistic cultures without compromising immersion.
