Very slow burn story.

I think dialogues need a bit polishing. They feel a bit too formal. English is my 2nd language, maybe I’m mistaken but it feels like they are a bit forced.

Uh, an interesting tension in the tent!

It is a very slow burn romance, there definitely is some tension but not too much. I feel that Idris could have a been described as a but more morally grey. Though since I mostly read dark romance or romance with dark themes this story feels soft and beautiful. So if you expect some possessiveness this story is not it.

I like how he called her Songbird. Very creative nickname.

Up to chapter 22 was a bit hard to read, sometimes too many big words used. Word choice could have been simpler. At first it felt like a bit too much info dump, but from chapter 6, things started to move on and be more interesting. So if you started reading do not DNF, continue reading. It gets good.
