This is another one of those series that I want to like more than I should. It has a great plot with original ideas and characters, but I am still struggling to connect with any of the characters and the bouncing back and forth in time is a challenge when I just want to escape into the story. But I will say I am glad to be sticking with it as I am enjoying this a bit more than the first book in the series.
