If this weren’t a book club read, I’d have quit after the first 10%. This book seems to be an updated retelling of Little Women, done poorly. Meg, Jo, and Amy are now Pen, Jo, and Alice. The character traits and love interests shuffle slightly. It’s incredibly dull and I’m waiting for a character to die so I can draw that parallel too. I predict Alice, because Amy=Alice, and this book is a lazy rendering.
