reading this book left me with feelings of hopelessness and bleakness. at times i viscerally felt the importance and impact of having power and influence, vile at how the people in power are wielding their influence, but then soon felt hopeless at how i could make a difference in this situation. the author was scathing in her retelling of the key players, but how about her role in it?
