I feel for Gen as in she wants to be as academically successful as she can because she has nothing else going for her (her words...) but does she have to be such an asshole about it to everyone?

I really like how Gen’s jealousy of Arin is very subtle when they are younger. She doesn’t attack her or verbalize it, but she thinks about it and holds it in, and questions it. I really have to see how they end up becoming estranged.
