This was my first horror style of book so not sure whether this style is similar across that genre.
Did enjoy how it had themes of mental health and loneliness which I was argue are slightly more modern. Found there were sections though where I struggled in the descriptions and couldn’t quite visualise what was going on and found it jumping around a bit towards the end.
