It starts out unexpected and that doesn’t happen all that often with romance books. Which I respect, no doubt. But halfway through it kind of drags on. I listen to it as an audiobook, as I always have one on hand for during bike rides. But I don’t enjoy it as much, it kind of drags on and today i’ve fallen back to listening music instead of this book. Which almost never happens. But alas, more to come!

Reread

I bought this like 3-4 years ago and had DNF-ed it a few times. I remember one time it was too vulgar and then the other time it was not vulgar enough 😂 I’m locked in, feeling the chemistry between the MCs.

The story here is actually quite interesting. I went in with some assumptions, especially since I read The Wild Man before this. Like I thought the MMC would be more removed from society and that his thinking would be far from how we tend to think and process things. I also like the dynamics between the two MCs, where the dominance isn't 100% from him.

Not my favorite.

Maybe it’s me, but the consistent references to the Natives of Brazil as “Indians” really bothered me.
