Loving it. Wonderful characters, not all of them the brightest bulbs, so to speak. And bad guys - whoo! Very, very BAD. Lovely descriptions of Victorian London, too.

The conversations between DI Walter Day and Jack the Ripper are on par with Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter.

This book really makes me wish I knew someone who knows the layout of the underground storm drains of Melbourne. There's a whole community that sets out and explores this underground maze. They sometimes even have underground markets in these drain pipes!

I'm not going to lie, this book is currently the best one in the series!

So far I am not a happy camper. This may be the downfall of the series. I hate the segments with Jack the Ripper. I do still enjoy the parts of the book that feature Walter Day and the Murder Squad. Hoping this will be a quick read so I can move on. Who knows, Grecian may redeem himself in the next book.

Fantastic! A wonderful spin on an otherwise tapped out genre. I’m addicted

Currently buddy reading with with my best friend. We've agreed to break the book into four parts to span a month (approximately 95 pages per week). Starting week 3s read today, and am dying to finish the book. It's so been incredible thus far.

This was the book I was reading when I was called home last summer. I've enjoyed the first two book in the series and was interested in seeing how the characters and their relationships were going to fleshed out. I find the historical era is really fascinating in terms of its crime and forensics. How can you not be interested in Saucy Jack and what he's learned while he's been away?!?

Ok... that.s it. This book explores the depths of depravity in a way that I do not need. I do not want to finish it though that is not my usual choice when I start a book, even if it turns out to be one I do not particularly care for. Maybe there is redemption at the end but it is not close enough to inspire a desire to go on or even a desire to read any more of this author's writing.

My wife an I read it parallel. We both like Day and Hammersmith a lot. Jack is back ... and with him there is a lot of blood ...

I'm annoyed. The Ripper is THE classic disorganized killer. This guy...is not. Harrumph.
