A compelling thriller, though the endless vicious beatings the MC takes from her boyfriend is causing me to rage. I can empathize with victims of abuse, but when she comforts HIM after the attacks, since she feels bad that she makes him do such awful things, it's hard to relate to her at all. I'll soldier on, but I hope she stops being a victim soon and murders his ass slowly. Or leaves him, I guess. No, the 1st one.
