I find myself desperately wanting to know why she is here because I don’t like the look on Avery’s face as Miranda says lover boy or home. Her eyes have taken on a haunted, vacant look. It’s a look I never want to see on her pretty face again. I also don’t want to contemplate someone loving Avery in any way that is not family. I’d hate to have to kill a “boy”.~~ Kreed

“I’m Kreed,” he says, grasping my hand more firmly while shouldering my heavy bag on his other arm. “Kreed Jones.” The shivering vibration hums more forcefully but not quite in a bad way. “I’m Avery Bishop.”

So far, I love the book. The only thing I can't stand is that it isn't 'John Hopkins', it's 'Johns Hopkins'.
