People go on about voter fraud today but imagine clipping your ticket to vote from a newspaper!

People often criticize Lincoln for some of his pre-war racist comments about black Americans. To be sure they were pretty bad. And yet he evolved and became a better and more enlightened person. It made me think of how today we judge people by their words from years earlier without allowing the possibility that we all can grow as human beings
