I enjoy reading the experiences and inspirations of a writer that led them to creating something I've read (or will read).

Amazing how Morrison came up with concepts for 40 issues in a week!

Issue #25 -
A story focusing on new DP member, Dorothy!

Not sure I love the fact that a man wrote a story about a girl going through puberty…

Although, I’m glad this was about a young girl struggling with the thought of growing up and not what I thought it was going to be about.

In the end, Dorothy puts on her ruby slippers!

More hints about the Brotherhood who’ve been welcoming new members…

Issue #24 -
Rebis and Jane encounter strange things while wandering the giant mansion.

Meanwhile, Cliff listens to Red Jack’s ravings.
The being calls himself ‘God’ while also claiming he was Jack the Ripper.

It’s not until a sleepwalking Rhea stabs Red Jack in the back that the tide turns in favour of the team.

‘Some stories have no meaning’, not sure if I necessarily agree with that…

Issue #23 -
Dorothy Spinner arrives at the DP HQ!

I liked how we saw Elenor’s boyfriend struggle to comprehend what she’s become.

Cliff and Jane try to visit Rhea but she’s gone missing!

Sensing what’s happened, Jane uses books to divine the info she needs…

Thru a door in the hospital, Cliff, Jane and Rebis enter this grand courtyard!

Separated, Cliff finds a still comatose Rhea in the arms of Red Jack…

Issue #22 -
I like how this issue showcased each member. Well, apart from Joshua.

Crazy Jane takes the lead in the world of Orqwith and we see the Negative spirit (part of Rebis) separate from the trio.

We also see just how ‘cold’ Chief can be…

One thing I didn’t like; why would the liar tell the truth about being the liar?
Weak explanation too.

After a passionate speech, Doom Patrol is back!

Issue #21 -
Cliff takes Jane to the old HQ where he finds a note… before Scissormen attack!

Jane changes and easily stops the invaders, who don’t bleed.

Later, Jane is able to translate the Black Book and surmises that fiction is becoming reality.

In their new HQ (JLA’s old one), more Scissormen invade and Joshua is a victim!

The HQ becomes surrounded before Cliff, Jane and Rebis disappear…

Issue #20 -
Chief and Joshua visit who was once Larry. They, with Elenor, are now Rebis!

Will, creator of Cliff’s body, notes his mental improvement after spending time with Crazy Jane and focusing on being there for her.

Later, strange things begin to happen around the world…
It all has something to do with Scissormen!

All of Jane’s personalities have different abilities and we see that in action.

Issue #19 -
An issue of dealing with severe loss and coming back from it.

I really liked seeing Cliff’s emotional journey.
I don’t know if this is something that cropped up every now and again for this character but to see how he struggles with remembering who he was and what he is now was great.

I felt a little shift in ‘Chief’ and then a huge change for Larry and Dr Poole!

And then there’s Crazy Jane…

A great introduction that does not spoil what’s inside but gives new readers helpful information so they’re not going in completely blind.
