Didn't realize this short story is actually a prequel to The Amalfi Coast before reading it.
Enjoyed the connections to le streghe del mare di Positano.

Ahhh I love the connection to The Amalfi Curse 🌊🐚

I feel like I know what the twist is, but this author has piled the bait-and-switch on me before. Also there was a reference to her other book, The Amalfi Curse. I don’t think I’ve seen her have more than one book in the same universe before. 🤔 Unless I’m just having Deja vu.

A cute short story that I wanted to continue. Loved the setting and main character.

Reading this short story on my Kindle to keep my reading streak alive while I finish my print book.

She found that he conjured what he drew and placed in the box. She also found that he had conjured her all broken and bleeding which is why she couldn't remember anything. So she flipped the script and he conjured himself in a glass box. She used the situation to escape with the box and the fox he had conjured the night before.

Excited to read the amalfi curse!!
