Zita and I sat drinking, me a glass of Guinness draft (my favorite), her a glass of wine. We noticed others sitting at nearby tables turn their attention to the television over the bar. The report was of a jetliner crash in the forests of France. 350 possible deaths. We looked at each other and thought the same thing.... Chaban had caught us flat-footed.

The man wrapped fingers around my throat and pressed me against the wall. He lifted me up until my feet dangled inches above the cobblestones.
"What do you want?" I asked, gasping for air.
"I want you to tell me where Bobby is... Or I can kill you like the bum I killed the other day," he replied coldly.
"What bum?"
"I beat him until he lost consciousness, and enjoyed every moment."

Zita disappeared down the hall before I got through the door.
My breathing was improving after the fight I had with Calderon. I entered the room and found a woman sitting against the headboard of the bed. Her knees were pulled up and her arms were wrapped around her legs. She made an insincere effort to cover her naked body and I clearly saw she was indeed a natural blonde.

I hung the phone and thought, why not give me a bottle of ether, a prostitute, and a knife to kill myself.

A pursuer is shot and interrogated.
"Where is Chaban? What is he planning in Paris?"
The man coughed. "He is planning something much bigger than what happened in Madrid," he spat.
My God, the Spanish Prime Minister was killed in Madrid! If Chaban is planning something bigger, God help us!

Tense, suspenseful, well-written thriller.

A man presses his people to kill the American... The Hollow Man searches a dead man's apartment and finds 3 passports in a manila envelope taped on the inside of a stove. He leaves and makes it no further than a block when an explosion rocks the streets. Turning around he sees the apartment he just left burning in flames.

A dead man's body on a train to Paris with $250 USD, a girl from Prague on her way to Paris to join the sex revolution... The Hollow Man must think fast before the body is found and linked to him. One clue, the picture of a beautiful blonde with an address on its back. Could this lead him to Chaban?

Walking in a park he see's a man sitting on a bench. It's the stranger from the shop.

Terrorists learn using C4 explosives is much simpler than kilos of dynamite! But can they set them without blowing themselves to smithereens?

Separated from his lover-friend-spy, the Hollow Man travels indiscreetly across beautiful Spanish countryside from Pamplona to Barcelona. But along the way he suspects he's being followed and forced to disguise himself. Will he reach his destination????

Two lovers escape to a hotel in the countryside. All of Spain's police force is on the alert after several officers are gunned down whilst storming a warehouse. And the two suspects move on the next morning, taking care to toss their weapons in the river. "After all, the French are not so unforgiving when finding you with illegal weapons on your person while going through customs."
