Poco a poco la historia se va volviendo más interesante. Tengo ganas de ver cómo se relacionan los personajes en esta (extraña) aventura.

Me agrada Biddy, es directa y tiene más que claro sus cosas, sin dejarse llevar por banalidades :)

Aunque la historia comenzara con la desaparición de Lady Carinna, no es alguien que me agrade particularmente, a diferencia de Biddy, con su talento en la cocina :)

First of all, look at this cover, is precious (I definitely want it on paperback). I'm starting this book and I'm already loving it so far.

Loving it so far

I'm enjoying this more than I expected to so far.

It's been hard to go from a literary masterpiece of All The Light We Cannot See to this, but it is turning out to be a fun read. It feels like Downton Abbey with characters who are not great people. So far I'm not loving any of the characters. Hopefully someone comes to have some redeeming qualities.

The first chapter is nicely set up. I'm intrigued.

The book said a lady should examine the compartments of a man's heart before she gave herself in marriage, for that was a great step in the Labyrinth of Life. Virtue, Kindness and Companionship in a man were much lauded, which were mighty odd notions to me. I puzzled over ever having heard of such a man in all my life.

She was young and wilful, but I did not count those as crimes. Faultless is lifeless, was my opinion.

This is so engaging!

Not sure that I'll finish this one. Had high hopes, but not what I expected at all. Maybe it's because I'm not much of a cook and have no interest in old, old recepies. Frustrating because I bought this book hardcover at full price, that's how excited I was about it

This is amazing, I can't stop reading.

Will I ever finish it?

Waited too long to start, and the library has reclaimed it for now!
