Status Updates From My Lady Hiraya

Page 181-183. I messaged Steven (the author) because WHAT. THE. ACTUAL... UGH. 💀 The BETRAYAL. THE ACTUAL BETRAYAL. This isn't fair. I'm still reading, but all I'm gonna say is this isn't FAIR. Whyyyyyy?!?! Why do authors do THIS?!?! *keeps reading, I just needed to react first because where else will I do it???*

One of the things I appreciate reading from Ch. 16-20 is the concept of how immortals process grief, guilt, and isolation. And the back-to-back revelation about each of the characters' relationships and whatever happened to them. I'm still on the edge about Caius and Isagani's past, especially their short, tension-filled reunion 🤌🏻 Gimme more of that, sir!

So far, from chapters 11-15, it feels more like character building. I'm discovering more and more about Hiraya, Elise, and Isagani. I finally met Shoyu!!! 🤣 That lil cutie~ Anyway, Ch. 15 feels more like a filler episode that bears A LOT of the characters' history, which still works.

So far, I don't think the story is dragging. I think it's just at the right pace.

Slow progress, but I feel like things are picking up fast. I got Hiraya and Elise finally working together and learning about Chaos magic and utilizing it. (which is giving Witcher 😏, which I'm not mad about, hehe)

I think the concept of Chaos magic is basic. And the pacing IS fast but then now I'm thinking, if it's this fast, then what are we in for? Because Elise learning Chaos seems like a foreshadowing.

So far, the world-building is growing on me. It is definitely setting the vibe of the world and the characters. I'm so happy Isagani (so far, my fave) has already been introduced. Also, Hiraya is my nonchalant queen. 😆

Oooo I’m into this…a widowed lady warrior willing to move heaven and hell to bring her wife back from the dead? Meanwhile a gorgeous immortal demon lady offers to help??? Here for the tension O_O
