Love a good summer romance

This feels like Love and Other Words or Every Summer After. Same story minor differences in details

It’s panning out to be a quick read so that’s nice

I’m sorry maybe it’s a “girl thing”, but it was obvious af, ESPECIALLY with how Andrea was written

Ok so he didn’t sleep with Andrea

Their earlier convo just meant he didn’t know Andrea picked up his phone and told Lia that. Did he actually sleep with her or not?

Wait so did he sleep with Andrea that night or not?

So you’re telling me it’s bc he didn’t see the greedy girl-best-friend? And HE SLEPT WITH HER IMMEDIATELY AFTER THEY HAD THAT FIGHT?! WTF Ross Gellar?

I’m sorry but all of this happening with LESS THAN 20-something pages from the end of the book feels a little melodramatic. Even Andrea feels a bit cartoonish. Also, everyone around Lia sucks. I hope she stays single and away from everyone

There are a lot of instances where it feels like there should be questions marks where they aren’t, and one sentence should really be two

If he did cancel it bc of what happened with y’all, that’s pathetic. He’s a grown ass man, and if he cancelled a prior commitment that he made to a kid over something that didn’t even involve said kid, that’s ridiculous

WRAP IT UP I hate it when romance books have something like this. It just comes off as such a corny 4th walk break attempt. Like, I’ve never heard someone in real life say something like that, but that’s just me

Now that I think about it, the change from her not wanting to talk to let alone be around Wes to her wanting to strike up a “fragile renewal of their friendship” felt pretty abrupt

Wes’ lack of understanding for and further NOT CARING TO UNDERSTAND Lia’s family situation pisses me off, and the fact that he whipped marriage around like it’s a bandaid? No that’s a red flag. Plus the fact that he genuinely can’t see that Andrea is actively trying to break them up? Again, red flag
