It is possible to read this book quickly, but I wouldn't be able to put it into practice if I did that.

The first chapter is mainly “why you should do this.” I appreciated the chart that showed “Phases of First-Year Teachers’ Attitude Toward Teaching.” Even though that chart in and of itself wasn’t the point, I resonated with being in the disillusionment phase (but starting to crawl out of it perhaps)

The first chapter gets us off to a great start. And luckily, I am reading this book with a group of colleagues at my school, so we are taking her advice to work with a group right off the bat.
