Nick is making a big deal about his supposed gay crisis, but I’m pretty sure he came out to his parents like 50 pages ago?? Also, he’s asking his friends if they’re dating each other even though that already came out at the party with all the gods?? Seriously, author, pls get an editor

I feel overloaded by the descriptions of the way people say things and what people are doing. There’s also something immature about the characterizations. I realize Nick is a teenager, so that makes sense in his character, but there is 1st pov in his father as well and the immaturity is consistent. I think this book could have used an editor to help with smoothing out the narrative and fixing characterization.
