Status Updates From A Novel Murder: A Novel

almost finished!!!! can't wait to start a new book

i finally am wanting to say "one more chapter" while reading

im about halfway through the book now and just going to finish it. so far it's a 1 star, typically I read a book in a week or less, but I just can't get through this one fast. can't wait to finish it

the story is catching pace, one thing I don't like is you can tell the women are written by a man, the main character Jane isn't written from a woman's perspective, and it feels as if the writer is making jabs at feminism and being proud of being a woman. I don't particularly enjoy how the author has to constantly berate on Jane, it made no sense for their being a page on her not wanting to date.

The pace is slowly picking up, it has a lot of characters though and looks into them all which is slightly confusing. I'm hoping that we get into the mystery more so rather than changing the POV's of the characters. I'm enjoying it a little more but I sill am not one to reach for it.

not the best book so far but we will see where it goes
