in the beginning, I enjoyed it because it gave me some insight to the life of the Irish in the early 1800s and the struggles they face when they got here.
But I feel the author stirs into the story so many issues that this historical novel theme becomes muddied. The storyline loses its power. I am plodding through the book to finish it.
