Status Updates From The Blanket Cats

My boss is lending me this book and I am going to attempt to finish it by next Sunday, wish me luck 🫡

That last one got me good — family is beautiful and messy and complex and intense. Exploring aging, death, responsibility, and conflict.

Chapter 4 is what finally gripped me

The vignettes don’t feel wrapped up. Like at the end of the story it’s very open ended which part of me likes and part of me doesn’t. It draws you in to participate and think about what their next choices might be and a reminder the same goes for us — we can choose to change how it ends.

The themes are also darker than I’ve anticipated
