actually love this more than auē,,, the characters are the best part of both, but kat is even more compelling than her nephews, and i love how this story travels through time around her. every version of kat feels alive at the same time, and u get this blended sense of fear and comfort cuz we circle back to the violence but know there’s still hope. rly unique way to make us carry kat’s memories alongside her.

wow the style is WAY different from auē… it was harder to get into cuz the scientist storyline felt out of place at first, but i’m feeling it now that it’s all coming together. love being back w these characters <3 and i’m glad the glossary in the back is quicker to navigate than the one in auē, VERY important for me because i know next to nothing about new zealand lol
