book one down!
im so dizzy from the writing. it’s so repetitive and drony and detached and emotionless. the mini chapters keep zooming past anything interesting. so obviously i can’t latch onto any characters (except for Merlin; assuming that he’s playing mind games).

i think i’ll try reading a more modern retelling first and see if i can get through this with time.
