I picked this up because of the cover

Just over 150 years ago, in 1515, as the Christians count, on a bright and clear September morning, they chained a Jewish man named Johann Pfefferkorn to a column in our cemetery. They left enough length for him to be able to walk around the column. Then they surrounded him with coals and set them aflame, raking them ever closer to Herr Pfefferkorn, until he was roasted alive.

My voice was steady and I was quite sincere. “I will surround that town with death. I will wrap death around their hearts, and I will rip them apart.

“I will kill them all. Every one.”

Okay, now I REALLY want to submit work to Tor. After finding all this excellently dark history/fantasy/sci-fi madness AND pieces with Jewish themes, it would actually be an incredible honor if they were to pick me up in the future.
I will be keeping them in mind...

so far, this writer speaks in very blunt, abrupt sentences. She tells more than shows, and it's very irritating. I'm glad this was a free read.
