Status Updates From Widow Basquiat: A Love Story

The story itself was told in a different way that is refreshing from other artist memoirs. It doesn’t cover up the harshness of Jean-Michel and Suzanne’s drug abuse, as well as the toxicity of their relationship.

The writing style feels very pragmatic and punchy, which is kind of a nice break from the typical flowery and imagery-heavy prose we usually get.
