Aaah this flashback is one of the most beautiful but also one of the saddest!
I love this story so much. After the novels and the audio drama this is my third time reading/ listening to it and it never gets old. The characters and what they go through touch me so deeply each time and the world is beautiful and fascinating.

My issue with the manhua adaptation is, that it’s so confusing. If you didn’t read the novel you wouldn’t understand a lot of things. Important plot points get rushed, volumes cut off at very random points and on top of that, though the art is very pretty, the only way to tell people apart is by their clan uniform, so when you have a lot of characters in one scene it’s really difficult to tell who’s who.
