Status Updates From Triptych

Just got started and had to go recharge my e-book! Can you believe, Amanda, I had also picked out yet another book that is on my to read list and not on the reader....? How is it possible, there are more on the reader than on my list!!! I am going to read what I DO have first!!

!!?!?!!! If the rest of this series (even the rest of this book) is as crazy and good as these first 70 pages, it's going to be a fun ride. Looks like I'm glad I've finally gotten around to this book after years and years of it being on my list.

OMG!!! Is Woody Michael Ormswood? Detective Michael Ormewood, Nicknamed Woody, of course! Did not see that one coming!

I don't understand. Why, if John knew he was innocent, as he proclaimed to the parole board for so many years, did he not proclaim his innocence to his mother and sister. Why???

This is a great! I got a new author! Woot!

This is pretty good so far. I can totally identify, haha!

Spoiler alert!… Well, probably. Woody is the murderer! That's why you should never, never get senseless with booze or drugs. You can be accused of or actually do anything Or have anything done to you! But then again if you're that stupid, you're probably too stupid to live. Harsh, but true.

Tragedy on top of tragedy when partners pull apart in a crisis, instead of sharing feelings and drawing closer.

But the top 2% say it's the poorer people that are to blame for their plight.

Actually page 1 of the novel and it plays into a book I recently read, "Them". I highly recommend this book. Sounds like it will be a great accompaniment to Slaughter's Atlanta-based books.

Just finished Part I, and my mouth literally dropped open at the end.

plot twist......again and again

Totally into this book... But is it so much to ask for a character who isn't heavily damaged?! Everyone in this book has been raped and abused. Come on Karin Slaughter... Let the light in.

I know the killer now and it's driving me crazy!!

It hasn't been stated yet if John actually committed the crime...I'm wondering now.

So....just found out who the killer was (was definitely not predictable) and a lot of loose ends are tied up....so I guess the rest of the book is more about the chase and not the mystery...that's a lot of chase for half a book but I won't judge yet....

Was looking for my next perfect read...first page introduces the reader on super bowl Sunday...how fitting :)

Fantastic book, really exciting great plot cant put it down at the moment.

Really good start some nice characterization with plenty of threads coming together.

Doing my best to finish this before the year ends! So far I've tried catching up over dinner and breakfast, and I didn't learn my lesson after the first time - you shouldn't read about tongues getting bitten off/mutilated when you're eating. Ack.
