I accidentally read the newest installment in this series, not realizing it was part of a series (they do stand well on their own), and borrowed this and some of Slaughter’s standalones from the library back in March. My library finally reopened, so now I have to delve into these before they’re due!

Read and enjoyed most of it, then just skimmed thru to the end because it was too predictable.

Daughter recommended. Cant wait to read it.

After having read a couple of Karin Will's more intense books, I decided do take on one of her series.

This book is dark! But, that’s Slaughter’s jam.

I am loving this. These characters are amazing and fascinating!

I like the story, but the narrator is an asshole. He's meant to be one, I believe, but it doesn't make it less annoying.
